Workshops + Speakers
As Nova Scotia's health care crisis worsens there is an increasing call for more privatization. Evidence from countries across the world show that privatized health care undermines the public system, increase costs and result in worse care for most people. So why is there this push for private, for-profit care in our province?
Join the NS Health Coalition as we explore why corporations think private health care is a potential profit bonanza, what happens when health care and bodies are reduced to commodities and how big companies are trying to increase profits and undermine the public system in Nova Scotia. We will also share skills that you can use to fight to improve public health care in your community.
From 9:30am to 2:00pm we will be hosting our annual conference featuring speakers and workshops. The theme of this year’s conference is Private Profits vs. the Public Good.
Speakers, workshop themes and the schedule will be available soon. Details of our 2018 conference are still available on our website.
